Product Description:Sold by the Pound. *This product is sourced from an Organic Farm. Whatever variety available in the season will be fulfilled. Background and Usage: A combination of Beef Stake, Roma, and other Heirloom Tomatoes. Can be used for Salads paired with Mozzarella. They are great for pasta sauces too. Can be used in soups, roasts, and used in combination with pretty much any vegetable in curries. Nutrition Information: Tomatoes are rich in vitamins A and C, and full of fiber. Field or vine-ripened summer tomatoes are higher in vitamin C than greenhouse tomatoes grown in the fall and winter, and fresh tomatoes have more vitamin C than when they are cooked or canned. Tomatoes are also noted for containing the antioxidant compound Lycopene, which is considered anti-carcinogenic and anti-inflammatory. | ||
